What IS Remote Service?? Remote service is when systems problems require a technician to connect through the internet to see what is on your screen, run diagnostics, and make adjustments as needed. Your internet connection MUST be working for this to happen. You remain on the phone and watch as the tech asks questions and looks at the computer with you. Most calls are resolved within 1/2 hour or arrangements are made to handle it in the shop. [Generally speaking, it is more time/cost effective to do it this way for minor issues, however it is less expensive to resolve serious issues (ie. remove viruses and malware) at the in-shop bench rate, than on-site, or over the phone.
